BYD Co., China’s largest electrified car maker, has recruited Kevin Wale, the previous head of Common Motors’ China operations, as a senior adviser to firm chairman Wang Chuanfu.
The transfer comes as BYD faces a slumping marketplace for EVs as Beijing dials again on client incentives.
